I thought there was something wrong with my eyes until I read the reviews of this lens. It is probably the most comfortable lens for astigmatism I’ve tried but the biggest drawback is how quickly protein deposits form. Sometimes they occur within days of putting on a new pair and range from uncomfortable ’spots’ to oily haze. This seems to happen most often when I wear eye makeup or cook. One week I had to go through three left lenses. This occurs even if I reduce the number of hours or days of the week I put them on. I never had this problem with my previous B&L lenses. Natural Touch Colors Review by Rose “The Greatest Contacts Ever”. They are the best contact lenses I have ever worn. I have tan skin and I wear the willow green color. People that do not know me think they are real! They look so Natural!! I recommend them for people with dark eyes. They are Great! They also last for about a year, which I think is pretty good! Biomedics 38 (Optimedics 38) Review by Wearer “Follow instructions when wearing these lens”. I have been wearing these lenses for over 3 yrs now. I recently tried Acuvue Oasys but I think I will go back to these lenses. Acuvue causes sliminess in the eye and the vision is not crisp in the sense I have to blink a lot of times. I get headaches and strains to eyes over and over with Acuvue Oasys. Biomedics 38 is good if you dont wear them more than recommended time - I got an infection when I went over 2 weeks in wearing them. Focus Dailies 90 pack Review by Mai Le “Make my eyes itchy”. It’s better called 10h lens (not one day or daily) because after around 10 hours your eyes would become dry and itchy, and you will have to change a new pair. Therefore it’s turn out to be more expensive than SofLen One Day 1-Day Acuvue 30 pack Review by alicatmeowmeow “owie”. ‘These contacts remind me of the time I had baby lava rocks in my eyes.’ I remove my contacts after awaking in massive eye pain from a very tiny and unintentional wine nap at three in the morning. Moments later… my eyeballs are literally forcing sleeping pills down my throat in attempt to never see the light of day again. Half hour goes by. Verdict? ‘Eye infection.’ Sexy. It’s fatal. The overdose totally contributes. But, medical attention is sought! I’m a classified survivor. Yep. I can voluntarily open AND CLOSE both eyes. Am I more blind than before? You bet. Would I recommend? Depends on who to. (oh yeah…) O2 Optix Review by lori “Not comfortable first few days”. I really like these contacts except for the first few days. They are awful and they have a completely different texture after I have worn them for a few days. No one seem sto know why this would happen. I did notice that someone agreed with me in their review. 1-Day Acuvue 30 pack Review by Muneca “Works for me”. Dont know what everyone elses problems are, doctors do fit you before you waste money on the box so for those who supposedly been wearing them for 8 years and what not…why dont you try a different lens? When I first got the contacts yes I did see color but after my eyes got used to it I saw perfectly and I always get compliments. My eyes are kinda chinky almond shaped and my skin is coffee colored and green or grey look fantastic on me = ). Anyone who has problems with these have not been fitted correctly or just dont know what they are doing. But overall I highly recommend these lenses. Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism Review by NAT “foggy contacts”. These contacts are made of a material that attract oil! Anybody who wears lotion, moisturizers, makeup or uses a soap containing moisturizers CANNOT wear these contacts. Once that film of oil gets on them, the contact is ruined! I wasted 4 pair in one week, thinking maybe I wasn’t caring for them properly. I even used Clear Care Solution thinking that it was protein buildup but it did not work. Acuvue Oasys Review by Dr. Ali “Good Solid Lens”. These are great lens, used the Optix O2 before, they are similar in fit but the feel is completely different. They are softer and much easier to put on. Even if you sleep in them its not a big deal just blink and go. As a doctor gota run all over the hospital, and these things are just great. Acuvue Oasys Review by Robbie “Very great “. Don’t really listen to the people that say they are horrible and that they cause major eye infections. ANY Contact lens brand can cause servere eye damage and even eye loss. But that is very rare. like I said, ANY CONTACT LENS has those problems. But they are soo easy to get in. It’s not even funny. You pop it in and go. But it’s really easier with a mirrior otherwise you will drop it. Speaking of dropping it - these lenses can stand alot. Liek I dropped mine 4 times the other day, just washed it well and bam, it was good as new. And you don’t need eyedrops because they only get dry if you sleep with them in - which is absolutley not reccomended, and these contacts are GREAT FOR YOU IF YOU ARE ON THE COMPUTER OR GAME ALOT. I’m on there 4-6 hours a day and my eyesight has actually been the same and without lenses my eyesight has been horrible. I Love contacts; especially Oasys. Acuvue Oasys Review by Cee “I wouldn’t risk it….”. For the past 6 years, I’ve worn Focus 1-2 weekly. They feel great and are quite affordable. However, at my last eye exam, My doctor told me that they are being discontinued and recommended Acuvue Oasys. He touted them as being the creme de la creme of contact lenses and healthy for my eyes. He gave me a trial pair and that seemed okay. So I bought a 1/2 year supply. What an awful mistake. The only time these lenses are comfortable are the moment you place them in your eye. During the first day, they already started to bother me. My eyes felt dry and irritated. By the third day, my eyes hurt so much that I had to remove the contact lenses. The next couple of days, I wore glasses because my eyes still hurt. I thought maybe the problem was with that pair, so I tried another. Unfortunately, nothing improved. I was pretty angry that I spent all this extra money for contacts that I couldn’t even wear. I found many negative Oasys reviews online that ranged from mild symptoms (discomfort, dryness) to quite severe (allergic reactions, vision loss, etc). I only wish I read these reviews before hand. Luckily, my doctor changed my prescription back to Focus and I was able to return my awful, expensive Oasys lenses. I feel awful for those less fortunate. DO NOT BUY THESE LENSES! Find out what Optomap is and how it could benefit you. O2 Optix Review by nub nub “recall issue”. I wore O2 Optix for a year with no problems. Last year I went in for my eye exam and got them again. Three months later I had a very red eye that was weepy and very irritated. I stopped wearing the lenses for a couple of weeks because of this and it went away. The red eye problem continue to occur so I went to my doctor who gave me some antibacterial drops to start with and said if they didn’t fix the problem then to go to an opthamologist. Well, it happened again and it turns out that my contacts were scratching my corneas which, after having read the recall notice, was caused by the lens not moving correctly with my eye. The difference being that I purhcased my lenses in June, not September. The eye doctor had to put me on steroid drops for my eyes which are fairly harmful to them, but I had to heal the tears. DO NOT BUY THESE LENSES. I understand that they have ‘fixed’ the problem, but I will not go back to them. You only get one pair of eyes and I’m not messing with them. Focus 1-2 Week Visitint Review by Arod “Focus 1-2 Week”. I’ve been wearing these for a short period of time and already regret buying 4 boxes. The first pair lasted me about 4 days. The left lens tore in two pieces when I was putting it on. the other one did the same thing the next day. I’ve been wearing contact lenses daily for about 12 years and have never seen anything like this. I’m disappointed. I don’t rub or mistreat my lenses. I clean them out and take them off every night. The quality is poor. I had been wearing other brands in the past and again never had them tear like this before. Ok let me tell you my experience with those contact lenses. I have been wearing the Focus Monthly Visitints ever since i started wearing contacts (7 years), and they have almost made my eyes *mildly* uncomfortable at the end of the day (after 15 or so hours of wear). That bothered me as i am a university student and would really like to not worry at all about my contacts. So i started to look around for a better alternative. I did my research and thought that these contacts sound perfect! As well as reading other peoples’ reviews, i thought i surely found the best contact lens available! I rushed to my optometrist the next day and ordered a 6 months supply of those lenses (that’s the minimum i could order as my eyes have different prescriptions). These contacts have a very low water content, and you can actually feel it on the lens, they’re dry, they are also thicker, so if your eyes don’t like that don’t get these :S. Anyway, i put them on and my eyes felt very dry and blurry…i was really surprised…so i took them out and put some of my solution in them to wet them and place them again in my eye… a couple of minutes later my eyes weren’t comfortable at all!! you can probably imagine how bummed i was… i did try to wear them for hours, i paid so much for these!! i tried to get used to them, but i really could not wear them for more than 6 hours, and let me tell you, those 6 hours are of continuous discomfort and irritation. I don’t suffer from ‘dry eyes’ or anything, as i was perfectly fine with the focus dailies, but only thought that not having to worry about your contacts for days on end would be nice…. i really don’t know what/where it all went wrong, i even tried another pair out of the packs thinking that the pair i tried might have been the odd bad one. but no.. I switched back to my focus monthlies. I am still looking for better contacts though.. any suggestions? esox_O@hotmail.com Acuvue Oasys Review by HeavyDuty “Oh What a Relief It Is!”. Very comfortable from the beginning. I could tell as soon as I put them in that they were going to be alright. Any ‘cloudiness’ would go away shortly after waking, just after a few blinks of my eyes. I usually don’t worry about keeping wetting drops on hand. If I had to do that, I wouldn’t bother with contacts. These stayed comfortable and clear and never felt irritating. I’ve worn some contacts that always felt like they were in inside-out, but these went in, and I forgot they were there.
